Challenge Identity explained
Change may be triggered by external forces, but a productive process starts by looking inside and asking Who are we?
Answering this question requires being honest with ourselves and being vulnerable with one another. It requires openly sharing our views and listening carefully, without judgment. It requires interpreting pain as a message, as carrying important information about the health and wholeness of the system, that is, the body or organization.
Here we inquire through reflection in a psychological tradition. Sample triggering questions include the following (and where we say “organization” we mean “organization or work group”):
Who are we as an organization?
What is it that brings us together in ongoing relationships, and, specifically, in this moment?
Why are we engaging in this conversation?
