Sustain Transformation explained

Once a new direction(s) has been determined and innovation begun, changes need to be nurtured or the organization will backslide to the status quo. An initial and essential part of this is looking holistically at the organization in context and asking Who are we becoming?

Looking holistically can be accomplished by distinguishing parts and examining their relationships, by taking multiple perspectives, and by looking at how the whole emerges from interactions and interdependencies. What is seen and how it is seen will both deepen and inform all subsequent cycles of CHRIIS.

This step is thus informed by systems thinking. Sample triggering questions include:

What does looking at the organization through the lens of systems reveal?

What enabling systems need to be designed to sustain and nurture change?

What perspectives are we taking on complexity and organizational evolution?

What interdependencies are critical to both deepening identity and successfully transforming?
